Throughout the last 700 years, Sygard Grytting has offered a place to stay for travellers from Oslo to Nidaros (Trondheim). In the old and honorable farmhouses we now offer exclusive historic accomodation and catering.
Sygard Grytting has 7 rooms offering accomodation for 15-20 people. All rooms have private bathrooms. The rooms are in the main building (from 1850), the old main house (from late 1600) and in the workers house (renovated in 1860).
For pilgrims on their way to Nidaros, Trondheim we offer accomodation in our ‘hostel’ dating back to the middelages: a well preserved and protected loft from 1300 (rebuild in 1780). This is a unique middelage loft and the only perserved hostel from the middelages in Norway.
