Ingeborg, the present hostess, is committed to preserving the building’s original soul and story, and communicating this to her guests. Her knowledge of this part of our history is vast, and of great benefit to those visiting. A stroll through the building with its characteristic interior provides an insight into high-society life at Hedmarken in the olden days.
On Sveinhaug one does not live on ones room but in the house. As quest you are free to use the whole 1st floor, the beautifully decorated rooms with their charm and relaxed atmosphere.
Sveinhaug has 5 bedrooms. Preservation of the buildings origin had priority during renovation and thus the rooms do not have their own bathroom. Those are found in the hall and are shared. A robe and comfortable slippers are provided to all quests.
The pensjon is open for individual travellers als well as small groups throughout the summer season. Groups from 5 persons or more have the entire house to their disposal.
