The Mjøsa region is often hailed as Norway’s larder. With Nes & Helgøya at its heart, it is a treat for all your senses: the beautiful cultural landscape, numerous spectacular manor farms, the smell of flowers along the roadside, and the constantly changing light combined with breathtaking views. Join us on a trip to explore what buzz and grows.
At BieStien, located on Helgøya island, a local bee-keeper will let you into the secret world of bees; learn how to recognise the queen, look inside a beehive, understand their fascinating community, and taste the honey they make.
The journey then continues to the beautiful Mølstad farm at Nes – the largest blackcurrant producer in Norway. We will join Stine, the farmer, on a stroll among the blackcurrant bushes. As we take in the wonderful aroma and enjoy the spectacular views, we will learn about this healthy berry and how it is about to recapture our hearts.
Note! This trip is ideal in combination with lunch/dinner at Tingnes Spiseri, where you can enjoy excellent local food and stunning views of Nessundet and Mjøsa.
