This tour takes you to Nes & Helgøya, the heart of the Mjøsa. A guide will meet you at the lovely Medieval church in Tingnes and join you for a sightseeing tour on Helgøya island.
After the tour we’ll stop for some delicious home-baked treats at Skafferiet, the friendly countryside café located on the oldest manorial farm om Helgøya island. Afterwards you can take a stroll down to the stables to buy some local souvenirs in the charming farm shop.
Next is a visit to the historical garden on Hovelsrud farm with its breathtaking view over the Mjøsa. One of the hosts will guide you around tell you about how the affluent farmers of the 1800s drew inspiration from central Europe, and how the great-great grandfather of the current owner and hostess created this beautiful, thriving garden. In the lovely little farmshop you can buy produce form the garden.
At Hoel gård, one of the hosts will welcome you in the garden and tell you about the history of this beautifull and well maintained farm. A 2-course warm supper is served in the farm museum.
